Echo Texture Releases ‘Inter-Sting,’ a Darkly Inspiring Alternative Work

By DOTTIE PARIS

Echo Texture has released the LP Inter-Sting and it’s a beautiful, darkly inspiring alternative work.

Echo Texture started as a band through which Brazilian-born singer-songwriter Jalal Andre could release his music. His music has a lot of soul and there are a lot of deep tones and powerful basslines imbedded in the work of this indie-alt musician.

Andre was influenced by the sounds of his native Brazil and also surf rock style that he would experience first hand as a teenager in California.

The bass is impressive. Stuart Taylor drives the band with particularly compelling riffs like on songs “Stolen” and “The Falling Ceiling.” With Julian Ledgerwood’s rhythms, the band achieves a darkly rich and dynamic sound.

It took some time, but the the trio decided to take on a contemporary sound with deeply rooted connections to American genres of music.

All songs are produced by Echo Texture, and recorded and engineered by Johnny Sangster at Avast! studio in Seattle, except “Rayon,” which was recorded and engineered by Don Farwell at Earwig Studio in Seattle.  All songs were mixed by Farwell at Earwig Studio in Seattle.  All songs were mastered by Ed Brooks at Resonant Mastering in Seattle.
